Arriving
- By air — Almost all visitors fly in. Taniti’s airport handles small jets and prop aircraft today; expansion will allow larger jets in the coming years.
- By sea — A small cruise ship docks in Yellow Leaf Bay about one night per week.

- Public buses (Taniti City) — Daily operating hours: 5:00 a.m. to 11:00 p.m., every day of the week.
- Private buses — Serve the rest of the island
- Taxis — Available in Taniti City
- Rental cars — Local agency near the airport
- Bicycles — Several vendors; helmets required by law
Walkable areas
Taniti City is fairly flat and easy to walk. Merriton Landing is a compact, growing district — many tourists stay there and explore on foot.
